Codling moth (CM) – Cydia pomonella

Codling moth originate from Eurasia and was introduced to other parts of the world (along with the cultivation of apple and pears), where it has become one of the regular pests of apple orchards. It is found almost worldwide.
It also attacks pears, walnuts, and other tree fruits – it is an oligophagous pest of fruit crops.
